Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa

Drive to Londorossi Gate, then trek through pristine montane forest to the first camp.

Day 2

Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

Emerge from the forest onto Shira Plateau with spectacular mountain views.

Day 3

Shira 1 to Shira 2 to Moir Hut

Explore Shira Plateau, then continue to remote Moir Hut for acclimatization.

Day 4

Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco

Climb to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Valley.

Day 5

Barranco to Karanga Camp

Climb Barranco Wall and traverse to Karanga for final acclimatization.

Summit day! Midnight start to Uhuru Peak, then descend to Mweka Camp.
